Check these eligibility conditions first
The NQF 7 requirement includes a bachelor’s degree, Bachelor of Technology or advanced diploma. PPS gives preference to candidates with a postgraduate diploma or honours qualification in Financial Planning.
A foreign qualification must be accompanied by a SAQA Certificate of Evaluation. The advert excludes applicants who previously participated in an insurance-industry internship or graduate development programme within INSETA. Check this condition against your own programme history before applying.
What the work involves
This role includes finding prospective clients, outbound calls, relationship building, needs-based analysis, proposals and ongoing client support. It is suited to graduates who want a client-facing career and are comfortable developing sales and networking skills.
PPS says the intern will be appointed as an advice representative and recorded on the FSCA representative register. The programme is intended to develop the ability to provide professional advice within the employer’s framework.
Understand the income wording
The advert describes a pathway to a commission-earning financial adviser career after successful completion. It does not publish the internship’s pay amount or establish that the internship is commission-only.
GraduateRoom’s advice is to ask the recruiter about guaranteed internship remuneration, any variable component, performance expectations and work-related expenses. Obtain the employment terms before making a financial decision about accepting a position.
Prepare for the application and video interview
Use the PPS recruitment page to apply and follow its video-interview instructions. For preparation, choose real examples showing communication, organisation and resilience, such as a student leadership role or community project. This is editorial guidance; PPS has not published interview questions in the advert.
Review the location and qualification details in your CV, and keep any requested qualification evidence ready. Use the interview link provided on the employer page rather than a copied link from an unrelated message.
How to apply
