Job Advert Summary

Provide technical support to the Asset Management Team on Solar PV plants. Our Technician will be happy to do multiple tasks at once and interact with clients, fellow employees and everyone on your path that day. You will be required to work at heights, but also as low as your chair for system monitoring. Our Technician will be an avid problem solver and solution finder. You will have support but will be required to work and complete tasks on your own mostly – accountability and responsibility.

Skills / Knowledge:

Root cause analysis and preventative maintenance on PV plants and equipment

Knowledge on Quality systems, as well as Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental regulations

Interpersonal & Client Relations: efficiently liaise, interact and build lasting relationships with various stakeholders

Data set analysis, report compiling and presenting

Basic financial accounting and budgetary knowledge for client invoicing, quotations and SLA renewals

Proficiency in Microsoft packages, with emphasis on Excel (intermediate level)

Tenacity to perform under continuous pressure and have a pro-active/preventative mindset

Must be able to apply independent judgment, initiative and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

Daily site monitoring and maintenance operations on Solar PV Plants

Fault finding on AC and DC reticulation systems and repairs

Prioritise activities with task and workflow assignment to ensure contingency

The delivery of the principal Planned Maintenance Operation activities from conception, execution and closure

Attend to breakdowns and any other ad-hoc duties that may arise from time to time

Generate Quotations and Invoices for Asset Management services and/or system repairs and contract renewals

Manage contractors servicing and/or rebuilding solar installations

Capture, transform and analyse various types of data for report writing and optimising of service delivery

Extending technical support to all stakeholders
