Requirements
- βA National Senior Certificate (Matric / Grade 12) is required.
- βRelevant Diploma (N6 Certificate) from a recognised TVET College
- βBasic understanding of labour legislation (e.g., BCEA, EEA, OHSA).
- βProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- βFamiliarity with a finance or payroll system (advantageous).
- βExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
- βStrong organisational and time management abilities.
- βAttention to detail and high level of confidentiality.

Job Description
NACOSA is looking for a Human Resources (HR) Intern to provide administrative and operational support to the HR team. The intern will assist with key HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, maintaining employee records, and ensuring HR compliance. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical skills and firsthand experience in the day-to-day operations of a dynamic HR department within a national NGO working in the health and social development sector.
The duties and responsibilities of the Human Resources (HR) Intern will include, but not limited to:
Day-to-day office support and administrative assistance to the HR team.
Maintain and manage personal records of employees, including contracts, leave, and training records.
Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, document management, and verification of timesheets in preparation for payroll.
Provide administrative support for recruitment, including posting job adverts, screening CVs, scheduling interviews, and conducting background and reference checks
Prepare onboarding documentation and assist with onboarding of new employees.
Support the organisation and documentation of training sessions and staff wellness activities.
Support the HR team in ensuring compliance with HR policies and labour legislation, and assist with employee relations (IR) matters, including the investigation, documentation, and coordination of disciplinary processes.
Promote and embody NACOSAβs values in all work performed.
